Padrón to Milladoiro, 14.5 miles, 4 hours

Though there were (very brief) periods of brightness and blue sky and a few interruptions in the rain, I only took a few pictures because my phone was in a baggie to keep it dry all day.  

We passed through pockets of woodland and the quaint hamlets of A Angueira de Suso, O Areal, A Picarña and Farmelloand .  I wish I did have pictures of those, they were so cute!! Stone walled lanes and winding streets of cobblestone and more Roman roads!

We crossed a bridge over River Sar, past Ingrexa de Santa Maria and by an old stone watermill.  Also along the way: Santuario da Escravitude, Ingrexa de Santa Maria de Cruces and Cruceiro de Franco’s (14-15 century), one of the oldest is Galicia.

Add to the rain some strong gusts of wind and it was a recipe for very chilly walking.  And quite hilarious seeing all of the flapping ponchos worn by the ongoing parade of pilgrims!  I was in the pack pretty much all day with thirty plus as far as my eyes could see in front of me and another thirty plus behind me!

Tomorrow there is supposed to be a break in the weather and I have just over four miles until I walk into the Plaza Obradoir in Santiago de Compostela!!!
