Another 11 miles today walking around Madrid with my Honey. This was full circle for me as I was in Madrid two nights (really only one full day) when I came to Spain for my first Camino. Bill was also here a day when he joined me after my second Camino.

So, today we compared notes, visited places we had seen before as well as some new, and covered Madrid “Centro” while trying to find the shade on this 87 degree day.

Our hit list included Plaza Mayor, Puerta del Sol, Mercado de San Miguel, Palacio Real de Madrid (the Royal Palace of Madrid), Almudena Cathedral, Mercado de la Cebada, Jardines Retiro- and for dinner, Taberna El Sur.

A good time was had by all!!

Tomorrow we head to Valencia!!
